Paint protection

CERAMIC COATING APPLIED WHERE YOUR CAR LIVES

A ceramic coating is a liquid layer that chemically bonds to your paint and cures into a hard, glossy shield. It locks in the finish we prepare, sheds water and dirt so the car stays cleaner between washes, and protects against the UV load that dulls LA paint faster than almost anywhere else. We do the whole job at your address — prep, polish and coating — with no drop-off and no loaner car.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE A COATING

WHAT A CERAMIC COATING DOES — AND WHAT IT DOES NOT

Coated paint stays glossier, washes easier and resists the sun, dust and freeway film that grind down an unprotected finish. Water beads and sheets off, taking dirt with it, so the car looks freshly detailed for far longer between washes.

It is not armor. A coating will not stop a rock chip, a key line, or the scratches an automatic brush wash puts into paint — nothing does. What it does is keep good paint good, and make every wash you do safer and less frequent.

THE PREP IS THE COATING

A ceramic coating seals in whatever is underneath it. Coating over swirled, contaminated paint locks the damage in for the life of the coating, which is why prep is most of the job and most of the value.

Every coating job starts with a full decontamination wash and clay treatment so nothing is trapped under the layer. Then we machine-polish the paint to the finish you want to keep — that step is where the depth and gloss actually come from. Only once the panels are inspected and wiped down do we apply the coating, panel by panel, and let it cure.

TWO LEVELS OF PROTECTION

We offer two coating options so you can match protection to how the car is used and how long you plan to keep it.

  • —1-year ceramic coating — $550. Full decontamination, clay and prep, then a single-stage polish and a coating rated for one year of protection.
  • —3-year ceramic coating — $800. The same thorough decontamination with more paint refinement before coating, and a coating rated for three years.

A NOTE ON PAINT CONDITION

The prices above cover vehicles whose paint needs standard prep. A finish with heavy swirl marks, water-spot etching or oxidation needs extra correction time before it is ready to coat — if we see that at the start, we stop, show you, and quote the extra work before continuing. You approve the number before anything else happens.

LIVING WITH A COATED CAR

Coatings need a short cure window, so we give you clear handover instructions — when it can get wet, when to wash it first, what to avoid. After that, the care routine is simple: gentle hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo and no automatic brush tunnels. Skip the wax — the coating is the protection, and it is measured in years, not weeks.

A maintenance detail every few months is the easiest way to keep a coated car looking the way it did the day we left, but it is optional, not required.

DONE IN YOUR DRIVEWAY OR GARAGE

Coating does not need a shop booth — it needs a clean, controlled space and patience, both of which we bring. Our van carries its own water and power, so we work in home garages, driveways, apartment structures and office parking across Los Angeles. The car never leaves your sight.

COMMON QUESTIONS

How long does a ceramic coating take to apply?
Plan on most of a day. The coating itself is quick — the majority of the time is the decontamination wash, clay and machine polishing that have to happen first. Heavy correction adds hours, and we quote that before starting.
When can I wash the car after coating?
We give you a clear cure window when we hand the keys back — typically keep it dry for the first day or two. After that, gentle hand washing is fine. Automatic brush washes stay off the list for the life of the coating.
Do I still need to wax a coated car?
No. The coating replaces wax entirely — that is one of its main advantages. You wash it like a normal car, just less often, and the protection holds for the rated life of the coating instead of a few weeks.
Is ceramic coating worth it on a daily driver?
If the car lives outside in LA sun and dust, it is where a coating earns its cost most: less UV dulling, easier washes, and a finish that still looks detailed months later. Garaged weekend cars benefit too, mainly in how little cleaning they need.
