WHAT POLISHING CAN AND CANNOT FIX
Polishing removes defects that sit inside the clear coat: swirl marks, wash haze, light scratches you cannot catch with a fingernail, water spot etching and oxidation. It cannot fix a scratch through the clear coat, chips down to primer, or a panel that needs paint.
We assess the paint in person before we commit to a result. If a single-stage enhancement will get you most of the way, we say so instead of selling a multi-stage correction you do not need.
THE PROCESS
- —Full decontamination wash and clay so nothing is dragged across the paint
- —Paint inspected under dedicated lighting, panel by panel
- —Machine polish with pad and compound matched to the hardness of your paint
- —Panels wiped down to confirm the correction is real and not filled
- —Protection applied so the freshly corrected finish is sealed
KEEPING THE FINISH AFTER CORRECTION
Polishing removes a small amount of clear coat, which means it is not something to repeat every few months. The way to protect the work is a safe wash routine afterwards — no automatic tunnels with spinning brushes — plus regular maintenance detailing and reapplied protection. Do that and a single enhancement holds up for years.
